IP Gateways, Tuner-to-IP and ASI-to-IP Converters
An IP gateway converts between the IP side of a headend and its ASI or RF legs: tuners become multicast streams, ASI becomes IP, IP becomes ASI again. This range also covers the IPTV gateway servers that redistribute those streams to hotels, hospitals and operators over the building network.
Hanxing builds 20 ip gateway models, each with a published Word datasheet. An IP gateway converts transport streams between interfaces. Tuner-to-IP gateways turn satellite or terrestrial feeds into multicast streams; ASI-to-IP gateways put ASI signals onto a network; IP-to-ASI gateways do the reverse for legacy equipment. The output is a stream other devices can receive, not a re-encoded picture.

What does an IP gateway do between an IP backbone and an ASI or RF leg?
An IP gateway converts transport streams between interfaces. Tuner-to-IP gateways turn satellite or terrestrial feeds into multicast streams; ASI-to-IP gateways put ASI signals onto a network; IP-to-ASI gateways do the reverse for legacy equipment. The output is a stream other devices can receive, not a re-encoded picture.
How do I choose between an IP gateway and an encoder?
Choose an IP gateway when what you receive is already a transport stream — from a satellite tuner, an ASI feed or another IP device — and you only need it on a different interface or address. Choose an encoder when the source is baseband video and audio, because a gateway does not encode pictures.
Where are these IP gateways deployed?
The deployment fields below are the ones this range’s model pages publish, counted across the line. They describe headends that bridge a satellite or terrestrial front end into an IP backbone, IPTV systems serving hotels and hospitals, and operators migrating legacy ASI plant onto IP.

Where this range sits in a system
Each link opens the turnkey chain on our system solutions page that this range feeds into — model, role and the parameters published for it.
How does the ip gateway line differ from the neighbouring lines?
Each row below is the application copy already published for that product line on this site. Read the row that matches the signal you have in hand, then open the line it points to.
| Product line | What it is specified for |
|---|---|
| IP Gateway (this page) | Interfacing between IP and ASI/RF legs of a headend — multicast to ASI conversion, IP backbones, and satellite or terrestrial feeds. |
| Encoder | Streaming and broadcast headends that need to turn HDMI or SDI sources into IP streams — IPTV platforms, hotel in-room TV, live event contribution, cable and DTT distribution. |
| Multiplexer / Scrambler | Building the MPTS/SPTS line-up and CAS/EPG handling — transport-stream muxing, scrambling and EIT processing. |
| Software & Systems | Server-side headend services — EPG generation, IPTV middleware and subscriber/ads management platforms. |
Models in the IP Gateway range
All 20 models of this line, with the specifications each model page publishes from its own datasheet. Every model name links to its page, where the full table, the datasheet (Word) and the range comparison sit.
What does this range publish across all its models?
Inputs and tuner standards published across this range
The values below are the rows published on this range's own model pages, deduplicated. The count next to each value is the number of models in the line that publish it, so you can see where the range is concentrated before you open a single model page.

IP Gateway — buyer questions
What is an IP gateway used for between an IP backbone and an ASI or RF leg?
Interfacing between IP and ASI/RF legs of a headend — multicast to ASI conversion, IP backbones, and satellite or terrestrial feeds.
Which inputs and tuner standards do these gateways publish?
The catalogue lists 20 IP Gateway models, and 20 of them carry a Word datasheet on this site. Inputs and tuner standards published across this range: 950-2150MHz (2); 24 tuners inputs +2 ASI inputs +1 USB inputs (1); 950~2150MHz (1); J.83A (DVB-C), J.83B, J.83C (1) — the figures in brackets are the number of model pages in this range that publish that value. If a parameter you need is not published on the model page, ask us and we send it with the datasheet instead of estimating it.
What power, chassis size and stream capacity do these IP gateways have?
It is specified per model rather than per line. The datasheets published on this range's model pages state a power or consumption row for 15 of the 20 models (for example FUQ-10 — General: Power Supply: AC100V±10%, 50/60Hz or AC 220V±10%, 50/60Hz); a chassis dimension row for 6 of them (for example FUQ4619B — General: Dimension(WxLxH): 482mm×410mm×44mm); a weight row for 6 (for example FUQ4619C: 3.5kg). Tell us the model you have shortlisted and we send the datasheet with the drawing, so power, rack space and connectors are confirmed before you order.
What is the lead time, and how do I get a price?
Quotations are factory-direct. Send the model number, or the channel count with the input and output formats you need, and we answer with the datasheet, the configuration and a written quotation. Lead time depends on the model and the position in our production schedule and is confirmed in the quotation, together with the air or sea freight options.
